~ Snip, snip ~

Ouch.
It hurts like hell to have spent hours, days pouring over two beautiful scenes...only to realize they're not central to the story. So they have to go.

Can't I keep 'em Mom, please? Can I? Can I?

Do they move the story along? Are they necessary to the plot?
Well, no...but they're so pretty. And ... and ...

Snip. Snip.
Oh my little heart.

  1. Oh, I know the feelng! It's like keeping that beautiful blouse with the tags still on it that hangs in the back of your closet. It doesn't fit your particular body type well but dang, that color is perfect and you love those fancy button cuffs. It hangs there in all its silky glory, silently berating you for cheating it out of its potential. The day comes when you know it has to go. You try it on, eye it, shift it, and your brain goes haywire, looking for a way to make it work for you. It won't. You sell it to a consignment store, wiping your tears off the sleeve and hoping they don't stain.

Later, you find a blouse of the same color, with even prettier cuffs and a swing silhouette to boot. It fits you like it was made for you. And you do your happy dance.

I'd love to hear from you. So sorry you have to jump through a hoop to leave a response...but evil spammers ruin it for everyone.
